We, the staff of the Women's Office, work to counter the structural disadvantages of women in Ulm. As municipal equity officers, we support the local administration and local politicians in implementing the constitutional mandate for gender equality. We accompany the implementation of the equal opportunities plan of the city administration, the implementation of the Equal Opportunities Act for Baden-Württemberg and other legal requirements, aimed at implementing gender equality.

We also cooperate closely with the city leadership, the municipal committees and various

civil society actors. In case of a crisis, we advise women and initiate offers of help. Men can also contact us with equality-related questions.

We draw attention to (social) wrongs and make proposals for change. This way, we create a forum for the public discussion of women's issues. The Women's Office is also the office of the Women's Forum, in which about 70 groups are organised.

It is a fact, though: We can only be effective as Municipal Equity Officers if we are equipped with strong rights. The administration and local councillors' support is indispensable for our work. This places us in a position to be strong for you on the ground. For you and for equity for all!
